The Zoom dress code may be casual, but the competition will be steep when you and five of your friends join us for a night of trivia. With eight rounds of questions on everything from sports, to history, to movies, to geography, and more – you will be able to drop some knowledge and so will your teammates.

• Have more than five friends – form rival teams!
• Have friends in different places – your Zoom breakout room doesn’t care!
• Have fewer than five friends – that’s okay too!

Winner Trivia - Virtual Showdown FAQ

Q: How does Winner Trivia – Virtual Showdown work?

A: There are eight themed rounds (think movies, history, sports, etc.) of trivia and each will have five questions. After the quizmaster reads all five questions your team will be sent to a private Zoom room to discuss your answers, and then you'll then submit your answers to the quizmaster for that round. After each round's answers are in the quizmaster will reveal that round's answers and the top three teams in the standings!

Q: What’s a Zoom room?

A: Zoom is the online system we’re using to host trivia. Through Zoom we can create a virtual private meeting space for your team to come together and discuss the questions and decide your answer. You can also talk and have fun in there when you’re got your answers locked in. When each round’s time is up, you’ll get a one minute a warning before everyone will come back to the main virtual space to hear the answers.

Q: How will we submit answers?

A: There will be a link sent to your team’s Zoom room (virtual private meeting space) where you’ll submit your answers for that round.

  • Register > Create Team > Enter team name and captain > Pay for yourself > Email your team to register
• Register as a player on a team…
  • Register > Enter Team Name > Pay for your tickets
• Don't have a team? That's okay!
  • Play as an individual: Register> Individual - Just put "Individual" as your team name
  • Be placed on a team: Register> Individual - Just put "Place Me" as your team name

Q: How do I invite people to join my team?

A: Start by registering yourself and your team. Then email your team a fun message inviting them to join your Winner Trivia – Virtual Showdown team just be sure to include your team link and team name.

Q: Do I need to have a Zoom Account to play?

A: Yes! Zoom is completely free and easy to use. We recommend using a computer or laptop to play but you can play via phone or tablet! Sign-up for Zoom online now!

Q: When do I log on?

A: Winner Trivia – Virtual Showdown will begin promptly at the start time. The Zoom virtual meeting space will open at a half-hour before the event. Log on early to talk to your team and your challenges as well as get a Zoom tour fifteen minutes before the start of the game. Log on early and you may get a free answer.
